Formerly the residence of King Leopold III and Princess Lilian, “The Manoir” lies at the heart of the Argenteuil Music Estate in Waterloo. It now hosts the artistic activities of the renowned Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, which has entrusted Destrée Organisation with the operational management of Institutional and Corporate events hire.

With its many salons, The Manoir of Argenteuil is an exceptional setting for high-level events and meetings of up to 150 guests indoors.

As “The Manoir of Argenteuil” is first and foremost dedicated to the pursuit of musical excellence, organisers will always be invited to consider programming an artistic dimension, with the participation of Young international Artists in Residence at the Music Chapel.

Together with the artistic direction of the Queen Elisabeth Musical Chapel, a musical program will be suggested to integrate a cultural dimension into your event.

Moreover, it is important to note that renting “The Manoir of Argenteuil” means supporting the Public Interest Foundation Queen Elisabeth Musical Chapel in its mission of passing on musical excellence to future generations.

Destrée Organisation and the Caterer Choux de Bruxelles are at your disposal to discuss your project and prepare a tailor-made proposal.

The Manoir, Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, Argenteuil

In Waterloo, on the edge of the Sonian Forest, the Argenteuil estate offers a rare setting for corporate and institutional events: a former royal residence, preserved and confidential, just minutes from Brussels yet entirely removed from the pace of the city.

The estate extends over 136 hectares of nature, tree-lined perspectives and stillness. A large part of the site is classified as a Natura 2000 area, making it an exceptional environment, but also one that calls for a respectful approach. Here, every event forms part of the landscape, the history and the rhythm of the estate.

“The Manoir of Argenteuil” is not a conventional reception venue. It is a musical residence, alongside the internationally renowned Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel (Public Interest Foundation), designed to welcome artists in residence in a dialogue between nature, culture, work and transmission. This presence gives the site its distinctive identity: events here take on a more considered, calmer and more attentive form.

Designed for demanding formats, from executive meetings, institutional gatherings and confidential seminars to board meetings, conferences, private receptions and premium networking moments, “The Manoir of Argenteuil” offers a singular alternative to standardised event venues. It is a place to meet, but also to step back, make thoughtful decisions, share and host with elegance distinguished guests.

The Courtyard of Honor

Manoir d'Argenteuil cour d'honneur vue

The arrival at “The Manoir of Argenteuil” is an integral part of the experience. Before discovering the interiors, guests cross the estate between parkland and forest, through a preserved landscape where deer can often be seen. The approach immediately sets the tone: leaving the road behind, one enters another sense of time and place.

At the end of the drive, the great gates open onto the courtyard of honour. “The Manoir of Argenteuil” then appears in its discreet majesty, framed by elegant facades, the wings of the building and surrounding greenery. Broad and mineral in character, the courtyard creates a first moment of pause before entering the salons.

It provides a natural welcome point for guests: arrival, orientation, a first glass, the starting point for a tour of the estate or simply a moment of transition. From the outset, it expresses the identity of Argenteuil: a heritage setting, confidential and alive.

The Grand Entrance Hall

The first interior space of “The Manoir of Argenteuil”, The Grand Entrance Hall welcomes guests into a warm, restrained and enveloping atmosphere. Its vertical proportions, large arches, ochre walls, mineral flooring and central fireplace create a threshold that is both noble and welcoming.

“The Grand Entrance Hall” is ideal for guest reception, orientation towards the salons or the discreet welcome of VIP guests. It naturally conveys the spirit of the estate: calm, composed, hospitable and discreet.

Salon des Animaux - 96 m²

Château d'Argenteuil Salon des Animaux

The “Salon des Animaux” is one of the most distinctive rooms in “The Manoir of Argenteuil”. Its pale green wood panelling with gilded accents, dark marble fireplace, ornate cornices and tall windows overlooking the park create a precious yet never ostentatious decor.

The room owes much of its character to its large painted panels, filled with trees, birds and landscapes. Nature seems to enter the salon, echoing the estate that surrounds it. The botanical chandelier, a work by Belgian artist Isabelle de Borchgrave, with its sculpted branches and leaves, further enhances this impression of a living decor.

It is an ideal space for carefully chosen formats: executive meetings, dinners, receptions or private concerts.  Views of the estate are present throughout.

The Rotonde - 21,5 m²

The Rotonde offers a more intimate, almost secret atmosphere. Its rounded form creates an enveloping volume, free of hard angles and naturally conducive to conversation and retreat.

Light wood panelling, cream walls, rounded niches and decorative details bring a discreet elegance. The light filtered through the curtains warms the room and reinforces its character as a calm, confidential salon set apart.

Salon Princess Lilian - 52 m²

Château d'Argenteuil Salon Princess Lilian

The “Salon Princess Lilian” preserves the spirit of a private dining room, warm and lived-in. Its blond wood panelling, period parquet flooring, discreet mouldings and soft light create a residential setting, closer to a private drawing room than a ceremonial space.

The portrait that presides over the room recalls the royal destiny of the estate with restraint, without turning it into a museum setting. Here, everything invites conversation, listening and retreat.

This salon is particularly suited to confidential formats: small committee meetings, private lunches or dinners, VIP welcomes,  coffee breaks, preparation before a speech or informal exchanges between guests or break-room. It is an intimate, sober and comfortable space, bringing a deeply human dimension to the journey through “The Manoir of Argenteuil”.

The Grand Salon - 119 m²

“The Grand Salon” is one of the spaces most naturally suited to structured event formats. More spacious and open, it retains the elegance of a historic salon while offering genuine capacity for conferences, dinners, concerts, institutional meetings and corporate moments with strong symbolic value.

The room unfolds in a warm atmosphere, shaped by the golden tones of the walls, the curtains, the period parquet flooring and the mouldings that emphasise the volume without weighing it down. Large glazed openings draw the eye towards the park and recall the constant presence of the estate.

The permanently installed piano gives “The Grand Salon” its distinctive identity, under the attentive gaze of Queen Elisabeth. It anchors the room in the musical world of Argenteuil and makes it possible to imagine formats in which an artistic performance opens, punctuates or concludes an event. It is a salon of representation, but in a measured form: elegant, inhabited, artistic and fully suited to high-level encounters.

“The Grand Salon” welcomes high-level meetings in different set-ups including, boardroom ministerial table up to 40 seats, theatre, classroom or cabaret-style.

The Jean-Marie Delwart Library - 47 m²

Château d'Argenteuil Bibliothèque Jean-Marie Delwart

The Library is one of the warmest spaces in this historic residence. With its tall bookcases, pale green wood panelling, fireplace, period parquet flooring and comfortable seating, it preserves the atmosphere of a private salon: lived-in, welcoming and deeply inviting.

It is named after Jean-Marie Delwart, Belgian entrepreneur and former owner of the estate, who was passionate about science, ethology, fauna and flora. This curiosity for the living world gives the library a particular resonance: a place of thought, observation and transmission.

The room lends itself to small-group exchanges: VIP salon, confidential conversation, break-out room, informal meeting or discussion between speakers. It offers a calmer counterpoint to the larger salons, ideal for taking the time to speak, listen and reflect.

Salon Léopold - 107 m²

Château d'Argenteuil Salon Leopold III

“The Salon Léopold” embodies the art of hospitality at Argenteuil. With its generous proportions, period parquet flooring, marble fireplace and tall windows opening onto the park, it offers a noble, warm setting perfectly suited to moments around the table.

The room is defined by its balance: spacious enough to host a structured meal, restrained enough to let conversation breathe. Pale walls, gilded wall lights, soft curtains and the light crossing the large windows create a gentle, almost golden atmosphere.

Around a large table, the room comes fully into its own. It invites lunches and dinners, executive meetings, board meetings, break-out sessions … A space where guests come together to converse, decide or celebrate with measure.

The Map Room - 73 m²

Château d'Argenteuil Salle des cartes

“The Map Room” is a more restrained space, well suited to calm and structured working formats. Its high volumes, pared-back walls, deep curtains and wall lighting create an enveloping setting where attention naturally comes into focus.

Less decorative than the historic salons, it offers a more neutral atmosphere, useful for a presentation, confidential meeting, work session, briefing or moment of reflection in a smaller group.

Within the journey through “The Manoir of Argenteuil”, the map room introduces another rhythm: more composed, more focused and more oriented towards the exchange of content. It complements the reception salons with a more professional and operational function.

Terrace and Garden

From “The Manoir of Argenteuil”, the terrace opens naturally onto the gardens, extending the interior experience into the landscape. After the warmth of the salons, the view widens: lawns, tree-lined perspectives, planted borders, woodland and forest edges form a calm, living and almost silent setting.

The outdoor spaces are not merely supporting areas. They are part of the deep identity of the Argenteuil estate: a preserved natural site on the edge of the Sonian Forest, set within a protected environment and largely classified as Natura 2000.

This singularity gives the venue a rare value, but also a clear responsibility: events must take place here with measure, respecting the environment, landscape, wildlife, flora and rhythm of the estate.

More than a backdrop, the park becomes a partner to the venue: a living, sensitive setting, to be contemplated as much as respected. Nature inspires us to build tomorrow.

The Projection Room

Set apart from the ceremonial character of the grand salons, the projection room makes it possible to create a more focused working moment in a calm and secure environment. It meets an essential requirement for corporate or official events: a listening room or secretariat.
